Research Engineer-Nanomaterials

Job description:

We are looking for a highly talented and self-motivated candidate to conduct independent research in the field of advanced photocatalysis.

  1. Synthesis, Characterization and Optimization: Dive into the creation, characterization and refinement of revolutionary nanocatalysis, such as visible light-responsive nano photocatalysts, single atom catalyst and superatom cluster
  1. Optimize nanomaterials for potential scale-up processes.
  1. Application in Diverse Fields: Explore the applications of these novel materials in areas like photocatalytic ceramics, optical fibers, and innovative photocatalytic coatings for optical fibers.
  2. R&D and supervisory experience in air purification or water purification product development, preferably with prior industrial experience

Requirements:

  • MPhil or higher in Environmental Engineering, Nanotechnology, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science/Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge in nanomaterials/composites; experience in air purification, water purification, biofilm inhibition, and so on.
  • Ability to scale up production processes for industrial applications.
  • The successful candidates should be capable of working independently and have good experimental and communication skills.
  • Extensive hands-on laboratory experience; industry experience or scale-up support preferred.
  • Ability to initiate and work independently.
  • Effective team player with strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, time management, a proactive attitude, and capability to work under pressure; and
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

This role, backed by the Research Talent Hub for ITF projects (RTH-ITF), focuses on advancing low-carbon green technologies for air and water purification.
