Principal Engineer in Manufacturing

To maintain our competitive edge, we are seeking an exceptionally skilled Principal Engineer in Manufacturing with deep expertise in material science and advanced production to lead our manufacturing initiatives.

Position Overview:

This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for bridging the gap between material design and high-volume precision manufacturing. You will be the key authority on optimizing materials and processes for complex electronic products. Your core mission will be to oversee our production engineering team and provide expert technical direction to our OEM partners in Mainland China, ensuring the flawless execution of sophisticated manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Advanced Process Leadership : Spearhead the development and implementation of precise manufacturing processes for complex material structures.
2. Material Science Application: Apply a deep understanding of material science principles and material design concepts to optimal product performance and manufacturability.
3. OEM Technical Oversight: Travel frequently to OEM partner factories in Mainland China to audit, optimize, and troubleshoot advanced production equipment and processes. 
4. Production Optimization: Drive continuous process optimization to enhance yield, quality, and throughput. 
5. Team Leadership and Development : Monitor, lead, and mentor the production engineering team, elevating their technical capabilities in material science and advanced production engineering.
6. Quality and Project Governance: Enforce rigorous Quality Management Systems and manage complex engineering projects, ensuring they meet all technical, timeline, and budgetary goals.

Qualifications & Experience (Mandatory):

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, Material Science, or a closely related field;
2. Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in production management, with a proven track record in advanced electronics products;
3. Deep understanding of material science principles, material design concepts, and advanced production engineering;
4. Direct experience with precise manufacturing processes for complex material structures and knowledge of advanced production equipment;
5. Proven experience and willingness to travel extensively to OEM factories in Mainland China;
6. Demonstrate experience in directly monitoring, managing, and developing an engineering team;
7. Exceptional communication and writing skills, with fluency in both spoken Mandarin and English. This is critical for effective collaboration with internal teams and external OEM partners;
